Discover the joy of drawing faces in this 3-part class! Sylvia Gortz will guide this three-session class designed to make portrait drawing fun, simple, and approachable. Students will learn to see like an artist, capture personality through sketching, and bring their portraits to life – all in a relaxed, supportive environment. All supplies are included. Join a Free Open session of The Authentic Living Circle on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 8 am.

The Circle only opens a few times a year, so this is your chance to experience it firsthand, participate in a real Circle Hour, and see if this community is the right fit for you.

In this special session, you’ll walk away with:
Clarity on where you most want to focus your energy right now
Practical next steps you can begin immediately to create real change 
Confidence in choosing one meaningful area to work on without feeling overwhelmed

Meet the members of the Circle
Receive support in a safe, welcoming community

01/28/2026 - Veterans Creative Expressions Workshop
Artist Mary Wentzel will lead a workshop on Gyotaku Printing. Using ink and a selection of rubber fish molds, participants will create fish prints on a variety of paper – using wild colors to create fantasy fish or more traditional colors for an earthy look. All materials are provided and no art experience is necessary! Open to U.S. veterans and current service members, but a family member or friend (age 16+) may also register. 01/31/2026 - Adult Workshop: Abstract & Non-Objective Gel Prints
Lisa Carlson will teach gel printing skills from generating creative ideas for effective images, to making masks, applying color theory, and using the gel plate. With step-by-step instructions and multiple examples, students will create a series of modern, non-objective gel prints to gift or keep.
