For February, OMAM will feature paintings by Central Florida fine artist and designer, Melody Orser in the reception gallery. Visitors will enjoy select pieces from her “Wild Florida” series. Melody’s work is greatly inspired by light. From a glimmer on the surface of water, to dappled light pouring through waves, to the brilliant glow of golden hour, light breathes life in nature and on the canvas. She uses saturated hues, strong contrast, and layered acrylic techniques to capture the essence of that light to illuminate the beauty of wild Florida. Meet the artist during Ormond Art Walk, Saturday, February 7th, 3-7 PM (free admission to Art Walk).

This unofficially-official holiday serves as a reminder for women to support and uplift one another. OMAM invites the ladies of Ormond and surrounding areas to bring their besties to enjoy sweet treats, bubbly drinks, and all things pink! Fun games, a craft project, best friends photo opp, girly pop music, and more will be part of the evening. Each ticket includes a four-drink flight and fajita bar. The concept of Galentine's Day came from an episode of the Parks and Recreation TV series. Leslie Knope, the sitcom's main character (played by Amy Poehler), gathers a group of her closest gal pals to leave the husbands and boyfriends at home and have a night out... ladies celebrating ladies.

On this school holiday, students ages 5 to 12 are invited to get off their sofa and join OMAM’s S.O.F.A. workshop with youth curator Emma Dennison. Participants will create a story quilt inspired by American multi-media artist and educator, Faith Ringgold. All supplies are included and seats are limited, so early sign-up highly encouraged.
