01/16/2026 - Florida Arbor Day in the OMAM Gardens
Celebrate Florida Arbor Day in the OMAM gardens. Members of the Cherry Laurel Garden Club will join OMAM’s gardeners. Janett and Sarahbeth, throughout the day to educate visitors about native pollinator trees and the importance of planting trees in general. The garden club members will be planting a tree that attracts butterflies. Citizens are invited to do their part in helping to reduce air pollution, conserve energy, and beautify the state of Florida by planting trees!
01/16/2026 - Adult Art Class: Graphite Portraits for Beginners
Discover the joy of drawing faces in this 3-part class! Sylvia Gortz will guide this three-session class designed to make portrait drawing fun, simple, and approachable. Students will learn to see like an artist, capture personality through sketching, and bring their portraits to life – all in a relaxed, supportive environment. All supplies are included. Students ages 11 to 14 are invited to join youth curator Emma Dennison for this art enrichment workshop. Participants will learn about American pop artist Ed Ruscha then create a Plaster Text Sculpture inspired by his work but adding a 3D component. 01/22/2026 - Little Artist Workshop with ELC
Children ages 3 to 5 will use their imaginations and develop fine motor skills as they explore one of the elements of art. Afterward, the group will enjoy an immersive storybook reading.
