This unofficially-official holiday serves as a reminder for women to support and uplift one another. OMAM invites the ladies of Ormond and surrounding areas to bring their besties to enjoy sweet treats, bubbly drinks, and all things pink! Fun games, a craft project, best friends photo opp, girly pop music, and more will be part of the evening. Each ticket includes a four-drink flight and fajita bar. The concept of Galentine's Day came from an episode of the Parks and Recreation TV series. Leslie Knope, the sitcom's main character (played by Amy Poehler), gathers a group of her closest gal pals to leave the husbands and boyfriends at home and have a night out... ladies celebrating ladies.

On this school holiday, students ages 5 to 12 are invited to get off their sofa and join OMAM’s S.O.F.A. workshop with youth curator Emma Dennison. This tour is included with museum admission and is free for members and U.S. veterans. The tour includes the reception gallery, where select pieces from OMAM’s Malcolm Fraser collection are on display; the stairway gallery to see John Wilton’s Modular Art Panels; a walk through the Gardens to learn more about the Military Tributes; and a tour of the historic Emmons Cottage. The tour concludes with tea on the museum’s Rooftop Terrace. No advanced registration is required; meet inside the Museum’s reception gallery by 11 am.

Students ages 11 to 14 are invited to join youth curator Emma Dennison for this art enrichment workshop. Participants will “follow along with Bob Ross” to create an acrylic painting. Ross was an American painter, art instructor, and Daytona Beach native who created and hosted The Joy of Painting on PBS, which aired from 1983 to 1994. All supplies are included and seats are limited; early sign-up is highly encouraged!
