Business Smarts Education and Training Series: Cybersecurity

Phishing scams, malware, and viruses, oh my! You don't have to be the Wizard of Oz to protect your business. Our panel of experts, Todd Huffstickler, Executive Vice President, Vann Data, and Bruce Caldwell, Director of Information Services, AdventHealth Daytona Beach, will share tips and techniques to prevent devastating digital attacks at the next Business Smarts program on Wednesday, October 23 from 4:00-5:00 p.m. at Daytona State College, Building 150, Room 101.

The Business Smarts Education and Training Series provides a venue for the local business community to access the training and education they need with input on what those subjects should be. Topics include leadership development, sales training, social media and internet marketing, and much more. 

Admission is $10 for Chamber members with advanced registration, $15 on the day of the event, and $20 for future members. The Business Smarts Education and Training Series is sponsored by AdventHealth, Daytona Beach News-Journal, and SunTrust Bank.

Non-Profit Roundtable

Open exclusively to non-profit members of the Chamber, these roundtable workshops are provided monthly and designed to address the specific needs and issues related to nonprofit organizations.

Eggs & Issues: $15 Minimum Wage - Pros and Cons

Florida's minimum wage is currently $8.46 per hour and is adjusted annually based on the Consumer Price Index. A citizen's initiative i underway to place raising the minimum wage on the Noveber 2020 ballot. Join us at the next Eggs & Issues to hear both sides of the discussion. Dan Kurczi, Volusia Flagler Central Labor Council, will speak in support, and Ed Connor, an independent public policy professional, will speak in opposition.

Business After Hours: Foundation Risk Partners
