A youth movement. Treating people better. Learning life's lessons from unexpected teachers. These are just a few of the topics presented last year at Elevate Daytona Beach presented by AdventHealth. Planning is underway for this year's event, scheduled for Thursday, August 6, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the News-Journal Center on Beach Street.
Audition dates will be 3-5 p.m. on April 24, May 1, May 15, and May 29. Check back soon or visit ElevateDaytonaBeach.com for more info on the audition process.
On the evening of August 6, the News-Journal Center doors will open at 5pm for a social hour with the return of the Elevate Expo: A Nonprofit Showcase. We're excited to feature the organizations in our community who are working daily to Elevate the region.
Theaters doors will open for seating at 6pm.
Elevate Daytona Beach will begin promptly at 6:30pm.
Every attendee will receive one ticket for a complimentary beverage which is good for water, soda, beer, wine, or canned cocktails.
With no full meal options at the venue, attendees should make dining plans accordingly for the evening.
Each featured speaker will make a five-minute presentation accompanied by a 20-slide PowerPoint that automatically advances every 15 seconds. The result is a show full of fast-paced speeches on a wide variety of topics.
