04/21/2020 - AM Connection - Florida Health Care Plans - Dr. Sona Ramdath
Our Spotlight Speaker this morning is Dr. Sona Rmdath a podiatrist with Florida Health Care Plans.   Did you know that April is National Foot Health Month?  The average American takes around three million steps per year according to the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society and the American Podiatric Medical Association estimates around 20% of people have at least one foot issue or problem annually.
April is National Foot Health Awareness Month, take a step in the right direction with Dr. Sona Ramdath, Jr. of Ankle and Foot Sports Medicine-Deland  is the Spotlight Speaker.
Dr. Ramdath, has practiced medicine in Volusia County for several years and currently has privileges at AdventHealth in Ormond and Orange City, Halifax in Daytona and several outpatient surgery centers including, Florida Health Care Plans in Orange City.
His educational background includes the Department of Veteran Affairs- Miami where he completed his residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, a Mini Foot and Ankle Fellowship at Klinik Dr. Guth in Germany and Mile End Hospital in London, England.  
He has participated research studies in Naples, Italy and the West Indies and authored numerous professional publications and delivered presentations to the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Our Host is Allen Thompson with EXIT Realty Advantage and breakfast is being provided by Sonny's BBQ.

The Business Education Committee will be hosting another Lunch and Learn the topic is "The Do's and Don'ts of Networking".  
There will be a panel of speakers, Francine Rope-Mundy with FRM Professional Services; Pamela Tipsword with Nuwati Bodywork Education Center; Jessica Mitchell with Wellspring Health and Kelli Marks with KMarks Events.  The event will be moderated by Allen Thompson with EXIT Realty Advantage.
The topics that will be covered are:  Name Badges; Business Card Distribution; Elevator Speech 15-20 seconds; Dress; Talking on your phone; Common mistakes; Speed networking.
