Debra L. Connors has been the President/CEO of the Port Orange South Daytona Chamber of Commerce since April, 2007. She served as Executive Director of the Chamber from 1991 until 1997, when she became Marketing Director for Atlantic Medical Center, a Columbia Hospital. Debbie has served as Vice President of Membership for the Sarasota Area Chamber of Commerce, Area Executive Director for the American Cancer Society, Volusia/Flagler Area, and was the General Manager for Clark Properties, Port Orange.
Debbie has a B.S. Degree in Communications from Florida State University. She has been very involved in the community since moving to Volusia County in 1978. Debbie is currently on the Board of Directors for the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals, and Vice Chairman of the Volusia Growth Management Commission. She was in the first Leadership Daytona Beach program in 1981, and was very involved in creating the first Port Orange South Daytona Leadership program in 1995. She is Past President of the Port Orange South Daytona Rotary Club, where she has been a member since 1992. She is Past President and a current Advisory Council member of the Port Orange Family Days Community Trust, and a Past President of the Daytona Beach Leadership Council. Debbie has been a resident of Port Orange since 1986.
