Nancy Keefer was hired as the President & CEO of the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce after a national search for the position. She began her leadership role on October 14, 2013.
Locally, Keefer is a member of the Daytona Beach Rotary Club and serves on the Team Volusia Board of Directors, the Daytona Beach Economic Development Advisory Board, and is an active member of the Checkered Flag Club for Daytona International Speedway.
Statewide, Nancy Keefer has served on the Board of the Florida Association of Chamber Professionals and is a past-Chair of the statewide professional organization. She also currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Florida Chamber of Commerce, representing all chambers in the State of Florida.
Nationally, Keefer recently served on the Executive Board and Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce Executives and Chaired the national organization in 2019. In addition, she chaired the US Chamber Institute for Organizational Management at the University of Georgia, Southeast Institute, in 2005 and currently serves on the US Chamber’s Committee of 100 and National Accrediting Board. Keefer has led three Chambers through Accreditation with the US Chamber.
In August of 2006, Keefer received her Certified Chamber Executive designation from the American Chamber of Commerce, making her one of only 5% of Chamber Executives in the Nation to receive this designation.
Prior to returning to Florida as a Chamber Executive, Nancy Keefer served as the President & CEO of the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry (PA) from 2008-2013. Prior to that, she was President & CEO of the Bonita Springs Area Chamber of Commerce (FL) for 12 years. Her Chamber career began in 1987 with the Chemung County Chamber (NY) in her hometown area in Upstate NY in the Finger Lakes Region.
Keefer holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. She resides in Port Orange, FL with her husband Chris and dog Mic.
