Lourdes León is a Venezuelan and the fourth President of the Volusia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. León ascended to the position in June 2022. She has been a part of the Chamber for the past six years, first as Director of Events and then as Secretary of the Board, positions she said have helped prepare her for her role as president of the fast-growing organization with a 101.12% growth within 2022. When asked about her goals beyond the immediate, León said she is focused on growing the chamber and empowering Latinos and Anglos who are the cornerstone of the community.
She is proud of her work with the people of Volusia County, and is the recipient of many awards that represent the fruits of her labor, last year she was awarded as the Honoree for her outstanding Performance and Leadership in Volusia County. In 2022 she was part of a movement in Washington DC at the Capitol and the White house, ensuring the voice of local leaders in Florida are heard regarding the increment of the NATIONAL SECURITY IS FOOD SECURITY, at the same time she sat on the round table with American Business Immigration Coalition at the White House to discuss critical issues related to the Venezuelan Migration crisis.
In June 2023 she was part of the Chamber rebranding from Volusia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce to HISPANIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF CENTRAL FLORIDA.
In July 2023 she visited the Border to view current situations with immigration, trade, human trafficking and other problems.
In November of 2023 she attended the “work permits for all” which is an initiative that the American Business Immigration Coalition hosted and where she is an advisor, they visited Washington DC and the Capitol.
At the end of November she was selected by the White house amongst 80 Venezuelans most influential out of 7 millions Venezuelans living in the USA to be a representative of the Diaspora Venezuela and to celebrate the 1st time “Venezuela Day at the White House. She meets every quarter with The White House, Homeland Security, USCIS and other government agencies to help and strategize on the immigration policies, these initiatives help not only with immigration issues but also with workforce strategic and developing plans.
In December 2023 together with her Board of Directors she was able to receive 205 members from the West Volusia Regional Chamber of Commerce as a transfer due to a result of their closing, at no cost to their members, this helped many businesses in the community to stay engaged and be able to be part of the Hispanic Chamber of commerce of Central Florida while they stay connected in a growing business and community environment.
In August 2024, the Chamber received Best of Florida, she is very excited to have been part of such a great accomplishment.
In June 2025 for the second year the Chamber received the nomination of the Best of Florida, Lourdes has been an instrumental part of this achievement. The Chamber has also received 2 top awards for Best of Deltona under her leadership.
With her expertise Lourdes has been able to achieve outstanding 2025 organic growth of 470% in the Chamber Digital footprint with an overall number of over 828000 views.
